Introducing Oscar

One rainy day after my sister said she wanted another kitten, my sisters boyfriend was outside working on his truck when a little orange and white kitten started playing with his shoe laces. Jake had to work on the truck over the majority of a couple of days, and the kitten hung out around our house for that weekend, it seemed he had made friends with Jake. Jake said over and over again how we didn’t need a kitten because we already had a toddler in the house. Every time Jake would come back in the house from working outside, he would look at me and my sister and tell us no we couldn’t have the kitten even though we had not asked for it once, since we knew we were not allowed to have it.  About an hour goes by and Jake comes in and says we can keep the cat as long as it stayed outside since we conned him into it. (we still had not asked for the kitten) A couple hours go by, and Jake comes inside and asked if we needed anything from the store. We both said no, not thinking anything of it. Jake comes back from the store an hour later with a cat litter box, a cat house, a scratching post, a toy will a ball in the middle of a track, cat nip, cat treats, cat food, a collar, flea drops, cat shampoo, the whole nine yards. He looks me in my face and told me since I begged for the cat so pathetically, I could keep it. Mind you, I still have not asked for this cat once. He was outside eating our garbage this morning, and now he was in my house. What am I going to call him? I am not creative at name picking. He was a trash cat. How could I give him a cool name? Oscar the Grouch lived in a trash can. Our new trash cat would be called Oscar. Oscar the trash cat. I never had a real kitten before, every cat I ever got was a grown cat when I got them. I was excited to finally have a kitten.
